ABOUT SEDA College
SEDA College launched in South Australia in 2019, introducing a new model of learning to senior secondary students completing their SACE. Immersed in the sport and recreation industry, SEDA College provides a hands-on learning environment, empowering students to develop strong networks and inspire success. Experience an innovative approach to education, alongside industry partners the Adelaide Crows, Netball South Australia, the South Australia Cricket Association, Basketball South Australia, the Adelaide 36ers, Adelaide Lightning and Football South Australia.
The independent school has been established to continue the success of the SEDA model in WA, NT, VIC and NSW.
At SEDA College, students can complete Year 11 and 12 immersed in an industry they love. There are four keys areas that define our approach:
Our ‘one teacher, one classroom’ model allows our teachers to grow strong relationships with every student. Our staff are specifically recruited for their capacity to build healthy and respectful relationships with students. Using a mentoring approach, teachers walk alongside and support the individual journey of each student as they complete their secondary education. In doing this, teachers work with each student to develop their confidence
as learners, building independent skills in self-management, organisation, initiative and enterprise and self-motivation as well as growing their core capabilities in teamwork and communicating effectively.
To inspire student learning and deliver industry-based training, we’ve set up classrooms at quality sport, recreation and community facilities. We also make use of e-learning and traditional classroom approaches within these innovative learning environments.
